3.1. Methods of Conference Registration: Registrations to Conferences are made through the Website in collaboration with the company “Eventora.”. For participation to be considered valid and for the electronic participation ticket to be sent for the Conference, the total participation fee must be paid.
3.2 The type, duration, and cost of each Conference are determined according to the Company’s pricing policy and are described in detail on the Website.
3.3 Method of Payment for Conference Registration Fee: Payment of the Conference registration may be made by credit/debit card.
3.4 Cancellation Policy: Prepayment is required to confirm the registration. Any cancellations of participation must be notified in writing to events@kathimerini.gr. For cancellations up to seven (7) business days before the conference, 50% of the participation fee is charged and invoiced. For cancellations up to three (3) days before the conference, 100% of the participation fee is charged and invoiced.
The intellectual property rights in the content and services of the Website, namely including but not limited to texts, photographs, designs, programs, all types of files, trademarks/logos, and the layout of the Website, are protected by Greek, EU, and international intellectual property laws and belong exclusively to the Company or its affiliated enterprises, or to the Conference participants from whom authorization has been obtained for the distribution of conference material through the Website.
For this reason, any use, copying, reproduction, or any other form of distribution of the material and content of each Conference by any mechanical, optical, audio, or other means intended for any exploitation or purpose is prohibited, whether the participant attends the educational program in person or remotely through any collaborating platform.
5.1. The Company bears no liability for any legal, civil, or even criminal claims, nor for any damage suffered by anyone participating in a Conference, arising from causes related to the content and subject matter of the program, as well as the information provided through the Conference or the printed and electronic material provided for the Conference, since the aforementioned have an educational character.
5.2. The Company and its associates make every effort to ensure the safe and uninterrupted operation of the Website, but do not guarantee that its functions or those of the external servers hosting it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or free from viruses or other malicious software, and bear no liability for the resulting inability to access it or for any damage (direct, indirect, or otherwise) arising from scheduled or unscheduled interruptions in the operation of the Website and the Eventora platform. Furthermore, they are not liable for any type of damage that may result from the use of the platform and the website, including but not limited to direct, indirect, incidental, and consequential damages. The users access the Website and each Conference at their own risk and are solely responsible for any damage caused to their computers, systems, hardware, software, data, or files.
5.3 The Company is not liable for any breach of these Terms due to force majeure reasons, such as indicatively but not limited to extreme weather phenomena, earthquakes, floods, fires, emergency situations, etc..
The Company does not control the availability, content, personal data protection policy, quality, and completeness of the services of other websites and webpages to which it refers through links, hyperlinks, or advertising banners. Therefore, for any problem that occurs during their use, the user must address the respective websites directly, which bear the relevant responsibility for providing their services.
